About this tool

With a single-sided document feeder, scanning both sides creates two files. Interleave reconstructs the original document in seconds, without rearranging pages one by one.

Frequently asked questions

Why are the back pages reversed?

With scanners that don't support automatic duplex scanning, you scan the stack of fronts, turn it over, then scan the backs—which come out from last to first. Check this option to fix the order.

What if the PDFs have different numbers of pages?

Pages are interleaved as long as there are matching pairs, and any extra pages go at the end. We'll let you know if this happens.

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. This tool runs entirely in your browser: your file is read and processed on your device, and not a single byte is sent over the internet. You can even disconnect from the internet after the page loads.

Is it really free? Is there a daily limit?

It's free with no daily limits. Processing happens on your device, so there's no per-use cost and no need to limit you.

Does it work on phones?

Yes. The site works in any modern browser on Android, iPhone, Windows, Mac, and Linux—no installation needed.
