Internet Speed Test

Measure download and upload speeds, ping, and jitter between your device and our server—no installation required.

Download—Mbps
Upload—Mbps
Ping (latency)—ms
Jitter (variation)—ms

Ready to test. The test takes about 20 seconds.

Your results will appear here when the test is complete.

We measure the connection between your device and this site's server (rotinadiaria.com), not your internet provider. Results may be lower than your plan's advertised speed if there's a bottleneck along the way or on the server itself. The data exchanged during the test is random and discarded.

Processed on your device. Nothing you type is sent anywhere.

How to use: Internet Speed Test

  1. Close any downloads and videos, then click Start test.
  2. Please wait about 20 seconds. We’ll measure your ping, then download speed, and finally upload speed.
  3. See your results in megabits per second (Mbps) and find out what you can do with your connection.

About this tool

What this test measures (and what it doesn’t)

This test measures the speed between your device and this site’s server. We download and upload disposable data for about 8 seconds in each direction, using multiple connections at once, and ignore the start of each measurement while the connection is still ramping up. No personal data is sent, and the test data is random.

Because the server is at a specific point on the internet, your result may be lower than your plan’s advertised speed if there’s a bottleneck on the route to the server or if your connection is faster than the server can handle. To report a problem to your internet provider, use its official speed test, which measures the connection to the provider’s own network.

How to read your results

  • Download: How fast you receive data, such as videos, websites, and files. This is the speed most often advertised in internet plans.
  • Upload: How fast you send data, such as video calls, photo uploads, and cloud backups.
  • Ping (latency): The round-trip time to the server. Under 50 ms is great for gaming and calls.
  • Jitter: How much your ping fluctuates. High jitter can cause interruptions during calls, even when your connection speed is good.

With Wi-Fi, distance from the router and walls can significantly reduce your speed. To see how fast your plan is, test with an Ethernet cable.

Frequently asked questions

Why is my result lower than the speed in my plan?

This test connects to this site’s server, not your internet provider. The route, your Wi-Fi, other devices using the network, and the server itself can all limit the results. Try testing with an Ethernet cable and disconnecting other devices for a result closer to the speed in your plan.

Will this test use a lot of my mobile data?

It depends on your connection speed. Each test uses about 100 MB for the download on a 100 Mbps connection, plus a few dozen megabytes for the upload. If you have a limited mobile data plan, run the test over Wi-Fi.

What’s a good ping?

Under 20 ms is excellent. Up to 50 ms is good for online gaming and calls, and up to 100 ms is fine for browsing. Above that, you may notice lag.

Is it really free? Is there a daily limit?

It's free with no daily limits. Processing happens on your device, so there's no per-use cost and no need to limit you.

Does it work on phones?

Yes. The site works in any modern browser on Android, iPhone, Windows, Mac, and Linux—no installation needed.
