Is my audio uploaded to a server?

No. Transcription uses the Whisper model running in your browser. Only the speech recognition model is downloaded (once); your audio never leaves your device—ideal for personal conversations and confidential meetings.

How long does it take?

On computers with a modern graphics card (WebGPU), it takes about a few seconds per minute of audio. On phones and basic computers, it may take longer than the audio itself. Choose "Fast" for long recordings.

Is the transcript accurate?

It works very well with clear speech, but may get names, slang, and noisy sections wrong. Review the transcript before using it in important documents.

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. This tool runs entirely in your browser: your file is read and processed on your device, and not a single byte is sent over the internet. You can even disconnect from the internet after the page loads.

Is it really free? Is there a daily limit?

It's free with no daily limits. Processing happens on your device, so there's no per-use cost and no need to limit you.

Does it work on phones?

Yes. The site works in any modern browser on Android, iPhone, Windows, Mac, and Linux—no installation needed.
