Frequently asked questions
Will the layout look the same as in the PDF?
In Editable text mode, the content is rebuilt with paragraphs, headings, lists, bold, and italics—great for contracts, papers, and text documents. Complex tables, columns, and text boxes are converted into continuous paragraphs. To keep the exact appearance, use Exact layout mode (the text won’t be editable).
Does it work with scanned PDFs?
A scanned PDF is like a photo: it has no text to edit. Pages without text are added to Word as images. To make the text editable, run the file through PDF OCR first to create a text layer, then convert it.
Is it safe to convert a bank statement, pay stub, or contract?
Yes. The entire conversion happens in your browser. Your PDF isn't uploaded to a server, unlike with most online converters.
Is there a page or file limit?
There are no artificial limits or watermarks. Very large documents are limited only by your device's memory.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. This tool runs entirely in your browser: your file is read and processed on your device, and not a single byte is sent over the internet. You can even disconnect from the internet after the page loads.
Is it really free? Is there a daily limit?
It's free with no daily limits. Processing happens on your device, so there's no per-use cost and no need to limit you.
Does it work on phones?
Yes. The site works in any modern browser on Android, iPhone, Windows, Mac, and Linux—no installation needed.
