About this tool
How the conversion works: The text on each page is read along with the exact position of every word. Words at the same height form rows, and recurring vertical gaps between rows define the columns—including right-aligned values commonly found in statements. Each cell is then interpreted: numbers, currency amounts, percentages, and dates become Excel numeric data; everything else stays as text.
Excel or CSV? The .xlsx file opens in Excel, LibreOffice Calc, and Google Sheets with columns already formatted, including currency with two decimal places and dates in MM/DD/YYYY format. The CSV uses commas as separators and keeps values exactly as they appear in the PDF.
Frequently asked questions
Will the values be recognized as numbers in Excel?
Yes. Values like 1,234.56, $-10.00, (5.00), and 35.90- become numbers with two decimal places. Percentages stay as percentages, and dates in MM/DD/YYYY format become real dates you can use to add, filter, and chart your data.
Can I convert a scanned PDF or a photo of a statement?
Not directly. A scanned PDF is an image, so it doesn't contain text to read. Run it through PDF OCR first to add a text layer, then convert it here.
Will the table come out perfectly?
Columns in system-generated statements, invoices, and reports are usually detected correctly based on text alignment. Tables with merged cells, multiple lines of text in a cell, or columns that are too close together may need a few tweaks in Excel.
Is it safe to convert a bank statement?
Yes. The entire conversion happens in your browser: your PDF isn't uploaded to a server, unlike most online converters.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. This tool runs entirely in your browser: your file is read and processed on your device, and not a single byte is sent over the internet. You can even disconnect from the internet after the page loads.
Is it really free? Is there a daily limit?
It's free with no daily limits. Processing happens on your device, so there's no per-use cost and no need to limit you.
Does it work on phones?
Yes. The site works in any modern browser on Android, iPhone, Windows, Mac, and Linux—no installation needed.
