Merge PDF
Combine multiple PDF files into one, in any order you choose.
Before you start: save your PDFs on your device
Your browser can only access files saved on your phone (or in Google Drive/iCloud). PDFs received through WhatsApp or email need to be saved first:
- Android: In WhatsApp, open the document, tap the three dots, then choose Share › save to Drive or Files. Downloaded email attachments go to the Downloads folder.
- iPhone: Open the PDF, tap the share icon (a square with an arrow), then choose Save to Files. Save them all in the same folder to find them faster.
Step-by-step on Android (Chrome)
- Open Merge PDF in Chrome.
- Tap Choose files. In the file picker, use the menu (☰) to switch folders—Downloads, Drive, or wherever you saved your PDFs.
- Touch and hold the first file, then tap the others to select multiple files.
- Drag the file cards to put the documents in the right order.
- Tap Merge PDFs and download the file. It will go to your Downloads folder.
Step-by-step on iPhone (Safari)
- Open Merge PDF in Safari and tap Choose files.
- Choose Browse (in the Files app), open the folder with your PDFs, and tap Select to choose multiple files.
- Drag the file cards to arrange them, then tap Merge PDFs.
- When the download starts, Safari shows a download icon in the address bar. Your PDF is saved in Files › Downloads, where you can share it through WhatsApp or email.
Common issues and how to fix them
- I have photos, not PDFs: Convert them to PDF with Images to PDF (including iPhone HEIC files), then merge them.
- A page is out of order or I have an extra page: Rearrange or delete pages with Organize PDF.
- The final PDF is too large to send: Use Compress PDF.
- One of the files is password-protected: Remove the password first with Unlock PDF (you’ll need to know the password).
- My phone freezes when I add a lot of files: Everything runs in your device’s memory. Merge smaller batches, then merge the batches together.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to install an app?
No. You can merge PDFs right on the tool page in Chrome, Safari, Edge, or Samsung Internet.
Are my documents uploaded to a server?
No. Your PDFs are merged right in your phone’s browser and never leave your device.
Does merging change the quality?
No. Pages are copied without recompression, so the text and images stay exactly as they are in the original files.
