Frequently asked questions
What is DPI, and why does my photo show 72?
DPI is just a density setting for printing—it doesn’t change the number of pixels or the image quality. 72 DPI is the default value saved by many cameras and programs. To print at 300 DPI, divide the image width in pixels by 118 to find the maximum print width in centimeters.
How many pixels do I need to print a 4 × 6 photo?
For photo-quality printing (300 DPI), you’ll need about 1181 × 1772 pixels. At 150 DPI, which is fine for viewing from arm’s length, 591 × 886 pixels is enough.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. This tool runs entirely in your browser: your file is read and processed on your device, and not a single byte is sent over the internet. You can even disconnect from the internet after the page loads.
Is it really free? Is there a daily limit?
It's free with no daily limits. Processing happens on your device, so there's no per-use cost and no need to limit you.
Does it work on phones?
Yes. The site works in any modern browser on Android, iPhone, Windows, Mac, and Linux—no installation needed.
