HEX, RGB, HSL, and HSV describe the same screen color in different ways. CMYK is used for printing; this conversion is mathematical (without an ICC color profile), so check with your printer for professional print materials.
Contrast follows the WCAG 2.x relative luminance formula: Level AA requires 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text (24 px or larger, or 18.66 px bold); Level AAA requires 7:1 and 4.5:1.
To meet WCAG Level AA (required by many accessibility laws), normal text needs a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1, and large text needs at least 3:1.
Screens emit light (RGB), while printers use pigments (CMYK), which reproduce a smaller range of colors. Highly saturated blues and greens often look duller on paper.
