Convert HTML to Markdown

Turn HTML (web pages, emails, blog posts) into clean Markdown with tables, links, and code blocks.

Markdown para HTML

O HTML passa pelo DOMPurify (remove scripts e atributos perigosos) e a prévia roda isolada, sem JavaScript. Imagens externas não são carregadas na prévia.

Processed on your device. Nothing you type is sent anywhere.

How to use: Convert HTML to Markdown

  1. Paste your HTML or open a .html file.
  2. Choose your heading style, list markers, and code block format.
  3. Copy the Markdown or download the .md file.

About this tool

Useful for moving content from websites, CMSs, and emails into Markdown documentation (README files, GitHub and GitLab wikis, Docusaurus), editors like Obsidian and Notion, or static site generators. HTML tables become GitHub-style tables, and <pre><code> becomes a fenced code block using ```.

Before conversion, DOMPurify sanitizes the HTML: scripts, styles, and event attributes are removed—they wouldn’t have Markdown equivalents anyway. The preview shows the cleaned input HTML in an isolated frame.

Everything runs in your browser. Nothing you paste or type is sent to a server.

Frequently asked questions

What happens to elements that don’t have a Markdown equivalent?

Structural elements like div and span are removed, but their text is kept. Formatting without Markdown syntax, such as colors and fonts, is discarded.

Are tables with merged cells supported?

Markdown tables don’t support colspan or rowspan. These tables may look misaligned and need manual adjustment.

Is it really free? Is there a daily limit?

It's free with no daily limits. Processing happens on your device, so there's no per-use cost and no need to limit you.

Does it work on phones?

Yes. The site works in any modern browser on Android, iPhone, Windows, Mac, and Linux—no installation needed.
