How to use: Markdown Table Generator

  1. Edit cells directly in the grid—the first row is the header. Use the buttons to add or remove rows and columns.
  2. Paste content from Excel or Google Sheets into a cell to fill in multiple cells at once, or import a CSV or existing Markdown table.
  3. Choose the alignment for each column, then copy the result as Markdown, HTML, or CSV.

About this tool

In Markdown, tables use vertical bars to separate cells and a row of hyphens below the header. Colons in that row set the alignment: :--- for left, :---: for center, and ---: for right—useful for aligning currency values.

With Align columns enabled, Markdown includes spacing that makes the table easier to read in the source code, too. Vertical bars inside cells are escaped (\|), and line breaks become <br> so they don't break the table structure.

Everything runs in your browser. Nothing you paste or type is sent to a server.
