On the stopwatch, the Lap button records a split time without stopping the clock — handy for interval training and seeing how long you spent on each practice-test question.
How to use the Pomodoro Technique
Created by Francesco Cirillo, this technique alternates focused work sessions with short breaks:
- Choose the Pomodoro (25 min) preset and work on one task until the alarm goes off.
- Take a Break (5 min): get up, drink some water, and step away from the screen.
- After four cycles, take a longer break of 15 to 30 minutes.
Practice for a full-length exam
Use the 1st day (5h30) and 2nd day (5h) presets to take full-length practice tests, and the Essay (1h30) preset to practice writing separately. A common strategy is to set aside a fixed amount of time at the end to transfer your answers to the answer sheet — note how long it usually takes you and subtract that from your total time. To keep the timer visible while you study, use Full screen.

Yes. Time is based on your device’s clock, so it stays accurate even when the tab is in the background.
How long is the exam?
Exam times vary. Choose a preset to practice with a timed test.
Will the alarm sound if my phone is on silent?
The alarm plays through your browser and uses your device’s media volume. It may not be audible if your phone is on silent or the media volume is off. Keep the page open and the volume turned up.
Is it really free? Is there a daily limit?
