About this tool

Image sizes for each social network

  • Instagram: square feed 1080 × 1080, portrait 1080 × 1350 (4:5), Stories and Reels 1080 × 1920 (9:16).
  • YouTube: thumbnail 1280 × 720 (16:9, up to 2 MB) and banner 2560 × 1440, with a 1546 × 423 safe area in the center.
  • Facebook: cover photo 851 × 315 and link post 1200 × 630.
  • LinkedIn: banner 1584 × 396 and post 1200 × 627.
  • WhatsApp: square profile photo (displayed as a circle) — 640 × 640 is sufficient.
  • X (Twitter): post 1600 × 900 and header 1500 × 500. Pinterest: pin 1000 × 1500 (2:3).

Crop or fit with a background?

Fill uses the entire frame and works best when the subject is centered in the photo; choose "Keep visible" to avoid cropping someone’s head near the top of the image. A blurred background works well for landscape photos in Stories or vertical screenshots: nothing gets cropped. A solid-color background matches the visual identity of businesses and professional profiles.

Social media platforms recompress every image you upload. Uploading your image at the exact size helps avoid another round of compression, which can make it look blurry or pixelated.

Frequently asked questions

How do I post a full-size photo on Instagram without cropping it?

Choose "Instagram — portrait feed 4:5" or "Stories," then select "Full photo with blurred background." The entire photo will appear, with the extra space filled by a blurred version of the photo instead of white bars.

What’s the best Instagram feed size in 2026?

Portrait 4:5 (1080 × 1350 px) takes up more of the phone screen, so it often gets more reach than a square image. Use 9:16 (1080 × 1920) for Reels and Stories, and keep text away from the top and bottom edges where the buttons appear.

Why does my Facebook cover photo look cropped on my phone?

Facebook displays cover photos at 820 × 312 on desktop and crops the sides on phones (about 640 × 360 is visible). Keep faces, logos, and text near the center of the image.

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. This tool runs entirely in your browser: your file is read and processed on your device, and not a single byte is sent over the internet. You can even disconnect from the internet after the page loads.

Is it really free? Is there a daily limit?

It's free with no daily limits. Processing happens on your device, so there's no per-use cost and no need to limit you.

Does it work on phones?

Yes. The site works in any modern browser on Android, iPhone, Windows, Mac, and Linux—no installation needed.
