Is cropped content deleted?

No. Cropping hides the area outside the crop (as Acrobat does). Your file keeps its quality, and the text remains selectable. To remove the content permanently, use Compress PDF afterward.

How does automatic cropping work?

Each page is analyzed in your browser to find where the content begins and ends. We leave a small margin and crop the rest. Blank pages are left unchanged.
