About this tool

Rotate just a few pages

In the Pages field, enter page numbers separated by commas and use hyphens for ranges. Leave it blank to rotate the entire document.

You enterPages rotated
3page 3 only
1, 4, 7pages 1, 4, and 7
2-5pages 2 through 5
1-2, 10-12pages 1, 2, 10, 11, and 12

If some pages are upside down and others are sideways, rotate them in two passes: first rotate the upside-down pages by 180°, then rotate the sideways pages by 90° using the corrected file. To see thumbnails and rotate pages one at a time with your mouse, use Organize PDF.

Why your PDF appears sideways

This often happens with documents scanned on a phone or with a scanner's automatic document feeder when a page is inserted in a different orientation. It can also happen with spreadsheets exported in landscape format. The rotation saved here is the same setting PDF readers use to display a page, so your file opens in the correct orientation in any program without needing to rotate the view each time. It's a good idea to fix the orientation before sending documents to organizations or businesses: recipients may print or review a document exactly as they receive it.

Frequently asked questions

Will the rotation be saved in the file?

Yes. Unlike rotating the view in a PDF reader, this permanently saves the rotation in the PDF so it displays correctly in any program.

Will rotating a PDF reduce its quality?

No. Rotation only changes the page orientation; the text, images, and file size stay virtually the same.

Can I rotate multiple PDFs at once?

Yes. Select multiple files, and the same rotation and page selection will be applied to each one. Download them all together.

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. This tool runs entirely in your browser: your file is read and processed on your device, and not a single byte is sent over the internet. You can even disconnect from the internet after the page loads.

Is it really free? Is there a daily limit?

It's free with no daily limits. Processing happens on your device, so there's no per-use cost and no need to limit you.

Does it work on phones?

Yes. The site works in any modern browser on Android, iPhone, Windows, Mac, and Linux—no installation needed.
