About this tool
The generated YAML uses the more readable block style: lists use hyphens, objects use indentation, and strings are left unquoted when doing so won’t change their meaning. Values that could be interpreted differently—such as 'on', '2024-01-01', or '123' as a string—are automatically quoted so they aren’t treated as a boolean, date, or number.
Long lines aren’t wrapped, making them easier to compare in diff tools and track in Git. Everything runs in your browser: nothing you paste or type is sent to a server.
Frequently asked questions
Will the generated YAML work with Kubernetes and docker-compose?
Yes. It’s standard YAML. Just paste it into your manifest or configuration file and adjust anything specific to your tool.
Why are some values in quotes?
Quotes preserve the original data type. Without them, some YAML parsers might interpret a string like yes or 0123 as a boolean or number.
Is it really free? Is there a daily limit?
It's free with no daily limits. Processing happens on your device, so there's no per-use cost and no need to limit you.
Does it work on phones?
Yes. The site works in any modern browser on Android, iPhone, Windows, Mac, and Linux—no installation needed.
