About this tool
What is a world clock for?
It’s the quickest way to check whether it’s a good time to call someone abroad, confirm the local time for a connecting flight, or follow a live event in another country. Each card shows the time, day of the week, and difference from the first clock in your list—handy when it’s already “tomorrow” on the other side of the world.
- Automatic daylight saving time: Each location’s rules come from the IANA time zone database built into your browser, the same one used by phones and computers.
- Your time zone: “This device’s time” uses the time zone set on your phone or computer.
- No sign-up: Your list is saved in your browser and included in your My Rotina backup.
Time differences change throughout the year
Some places observe daylight saving time and others don’t, so the time difference between two cities can change during the year. The world clock shows the difference for today. To check when the clocks change, use the time zone difference tool.
To find out what time it will be somewhere else at a specific time—such as for a meeting, game, or livestream—use the time zone converter. You can also check the local time in cities around the world on our what time is it page.
Frequently asked questions
Does the world clock account for daylight saving time?
Yes. Each city follows the official rules in the IANA time zone database, which your browser updates along with your system. When Europe or the United States changes its clocks, the time and time difference update automatically.
Is my city list saved?
Yes. It's saved in this browser on this device, with no sign-up. To move it to another phone, export your data in My Rotina. Clearing your browser data will erase the list.
Is the time shown accurate?
The clock uses your device's time, which phones and computers sync over the internet. If your device's clock is wrong, the time shown for every city will be off by the same amount.
Is it really free? Is there a daily limit?
It's free with no daily limits. Processing happens on your device, so there's no per-use cost and no need to limit you.
Does it work on phones?
Yes. The site works in any modern browser on Android, iPhone, Windows, Mac, and Linux—no installation needed.
